Summer Cinema "Hrid" Vis
The cinema in Komiža, one of the oldest in Croatia, offers a regular film program in a modern, digitally equipped theatre, in collaboration with the Nautical Center Komiža. During the summer, it becomes part of the popular Kino Mediteran project, which revives cinema culture across Dalmatia.
The schedule features a diverse selection of quality films – from European art house productions to current international blockbusters.

Cinema "Mediteran", Komiža
One of the most extensive summer programs in Dalmatia, lasting 60 days. Events take place in fortresses, churches, wine cellars, village squares, coastal spots and coves – from concerts and plays to culinary workshops and book promotions.
Last Friday in January, from 6 PM to 1 AM – free entry to museums. At the Archaeological Museum of Vis: concerts, performances, exhibitions, and youth-focused programming.
"Klapa" Liket
Held on the first Saturday of August. Free tastings of fresh fish dishes and island wines, with live Dalmatian music and dancing by the sea.
On the last Saturday of July, Vis becomes a stage for music, island food, drinks, and traditional games enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
A local street party at the end of August in the Mijurovac area near the ferry port – music, dancing, and community fun late into the night.
Fishermen’s Night
Celebrated every year on April 23 with religious ceremonies, cultural programs, and community gatherings.
Held in the second half of August – a friendly event for both professionals and amateurs, followed by food, music, and socializing.
An international sport fishing tournament lasting three days at sea, featuring teams from at least eight countries. Includes concerts, communal dinners, fireworks, and local product fairs.
Vis Swimming Marathon
Organized by NK Vis for schoolchildren from Vis, Komiža and beyond. Matches are held across three pitches in the town – spectators welcome.

Goulash Disko Festival, Komiža
Traditional cultural-ethnographic celebration held in November after the grape and olive harvest, with music, poetry, local wine, and dancing in the village hall.
Since 2000, the event “About the Sea, the Land, and Love” has combined poetry, klapa singing and a fishermen’s feast – starting inside the cave, continuing in Rukavac.
One of Croatia’s largest sailing events, attracting over 1000 sailors. Concerts, food fairs, and festivities mark the symbolic close of the season.
